Winning an award is always a very special moment, and I’m incredibly proud to share that I have been named the 2026 International Country Celebrant Winner for Ireland, Dublin at the International Wedding Awards.
But for me, winning an award has never really been about the award itself.
It’s about the recognition behind it.
Every couple who chooses me to be their wedding celebrant is putting their trust in me to create and deliver a ceremony that is personal, meaningful and completely their day, their way. I never take that trust for granted.
My hope is always that when my couples look back on their wedding day many years from now, they will remember not only how beautiful the day was, but how their ceremony made them feel — and that it will hold special memories for them for a lifetime.
I am incredibly passionate about what I do. I put my heart into every ceremony and give 110% to every couple, because I genuinely believe that every love story deserves to be celebrated in a way that is unique to them.
So yes, winning awards is beautiful. It’s a wonderful acknowledgement of the time, passion and dedication I put into my work, and I am very proud to have this recognition.
But ultimately, I believe we are all winners in life.
The real reward for me is seeing two people standing in front of their family and friends, making their promises to one another, and knowing that I have played a small part in creating a moment they will remember forever.
That is what makes being a celebrant so special to me.
